Zoom Marketplace App
- This feature is only available to instructors who are part of an institutional PlayPosit license.
- In your Zoom settings, make sure to enable downloading and disable password input on any Cloud Recordings you want to use in PlayPosit.
- To fetch captions auto transcriptions need to be enabled.
- The Zoom account setting up the integration must be a Zoom Admin account.

How to install the PlayPosit app from the Zoom Marketplace
- Sign into a Zoom admin account and click on this link or search for PlayPosit in the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Visit Site to Add to start the integration process.
- You will be redirected to a PlayPosit login screen. Enter PlayPosit credentials.
- Click Allow to integrate Zoom with PlayPosit.
- Please allow up to three business days for PlayPosit to manually approve the integration. You will receive an email at the email address associated with your account once approved.
- Once approved, the app is installed.
How to uninstall the PlayPosit app
- Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage > Installed Apps or search for the PlayPosit app.
- Click the PlayPosit app.
- Click uninstall.
Note: Uninstalling the Zoom Marketplace app will cause all Bulbs you have built with Zoom videos to cease playback
Link your Zoom account with PlayPosit
If you do not see any of your Zoom videos in the PlayPosit designer, follow the steps below:
- From the dashboard, scroll over the side panel menu and select your name.
- Scroll down to User Integrations.
- In Zoom, click on Profile and then copy your Sign-In Email.
- Enter your Zoom username/ID in your PlayPosit profile tab and click Request Approval. You'll receive an email within eight business hours upon approval.
It is also possible to request user ID changes in the PlayPosit Designer:
- Launch the designer and click on Zoom in the video source stepper.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Enter the new username and click the checkmark icon.
- An email will be sent within 8 business hours upon approval.
Adding Zoom videos to PlayPosit
The PlayPosit integration with Zoom allows institutional partners to add interactivity and accountability to all hosted video content. Once the integration is completed by the administrator, instructors/designers can pull Zoom cloud recordings following the steps below:
- Navigate to the PlayPosit dashboard and click Add New Bulb.Select Zoom to access your library of cloud recordings.
- Note: If the Zoom button is not available to you, this means your institution has not purchased the Zoom integration or it has not yet been set up by your administrator. '
- Select the Month of the recording you would like to use.
- Note: Certain Zoom configurations may only support storing cloud recordings from the last 6 months.
- Select the recording you would like to use in PlayPosit and start building your Bulb.
- Note: If during the Zoom recording there was a screen share or a webcam on, you can select either option.
Note: The settings gear in the player or designer will show duplicate sets of captions until a Zoom video is deleted according to Zoom retention policy. We will be updating this article if this setting is changed in the near future. Currently, both caption options will work identically.
- Select one of your recordings and then click Done. This will fetch the video from Zoom and add it to a PlayPosit Bulb.
